PQFORCE CED 2018: Review and Outlook

Our first PQForce Customer Experience Day (CED) on October 25, 2018 was a complete success and more than fulfilled our expectations. Our heartfelt thanks go to all guests, users and those interested in PQForce - but especially to our speakers with their enriching impulse contributions.

At CED 2018, participants were given first-hand experiences from existing PQForce customers and users. The insights that the speakers gave us into their daily work were not simply interesting. Rather, they showed us how diverse the topic of project and portfolio management is in our business world. Here is the link to the program again.

Wide range of applications

The keynote speech by Roland Heini(SPOL AG) showed that Agile is not only important in project management in the form of the Scrum methodology, but is also used in project portfolio management at the corporate management level. The subsequent impulse contributions from PQForce customers then provided real-life insights and very different project organizations.

Projects are once customer orders and can develop very dynamically, as the example of HELVETING in Peter Roosch's presentation showed us. Then again, projects are understood and planned as large, multi-year programmes, as exemplified in the case of the construction project for the Police and Justice Centre of the Canton of Zurich (PJZ) by Hans Eberle of the Zurich Cantonal Police. In the case of the contribution by Frank Straub of Georg Fischer Piping Systems, projects are understood as development projects in which new products are created from the idea to the prototype and beyond.

What all cases have in common is that PQForce is used as a planning and management basis. The examples have shown us that our platform has now reached a level of functionality that enables it to cover the entire range of applications. And this both at the strategic level (portfolio management) and at the project management and execution level.

Bridge between platform development and our customers

The goal of the event was to build another bridge between our platform development and our customer base and users of PQForce. The invariably positive feedback from the participants confirmed that we have achieved this. And we firmly believe that this will take us further along the path we have taken so far since the launch in 2016. PQForce is a platform by and for customers. The feedback loop between development and users should be as short as possible. In order to ensure this in the future as well, we are considering holding the Customer Experience Day on a regular basis.
